JOB Costing CTC Changes

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The Job Costing CTC on Purchase Order flag has changed to the following rules:

This change is affective from AcckV7Update20140722 onwards

If tick is not on for CTC on the Purchase Order Line

1. Check if line exists and then add to line

a. If budget quantity is set to NOT to EXCEED – fill up quantity and then balance goes to create new line as CTC

b. If line does not exist create new line as CTC

c. If line is Locked because it was reopened then create new line as CTC

If tick is on for CTC on the Purchase Order Line

1. Create new line as CTC

Still to be developed

If tick is on for SC

1. Check if quote and scope creep line exists and then add to the line

a. If budget qty is set to NOT to EXCEED – fill up quantity and then balance to create new line as CTC

b. If line does not exist create new line as Scope Creep Line

c. If line is Locked because it was reopened then create new line as Scope Creep

Both ticks cannot be on at the same time

Test Example

Job has one line which came from a quote

In the Purchase Order we will create 3 examples.

One with the line existing on job without the tick

One with the line existing on job WITH tick on

One WITHOUT the line existing on job WITHOUT tick and different item

Example 1

The line existing on job without the tick.

Result will be as follows:

System will check if this line exists, if yes, it will add the manage line to the exisiting line.

As long as the line is NOT marked do not exceed or has been reopened and marked Locked.

Example 2

The line exists on job WITH tick on

This will ignore all checks on the job and force a new CTC (Cost to Company) Line

Example 3

The Item does not existing on job WITHOUT tick and different item

System will check if this line exists, if no, it will create a new line as a CTC.

As long as the line is NOT been reopened and marked Locked.

Results

As you can see on the Job is has done the following

Example 1 – added and managed 2 items on the existing quote line

Example 2 – added a new line as CTC and managed

Example 3 – added a new line as CTC and managed as the item did not exist on the job

Recommend

We recommend that you use the Purchase Order lines without the ticks
